A Visual Love Letter to Black Excellence
When Mailchimp’s Black employee resource group, HUES, prepared to launch, the moment called for more than a standard announcement — it called for a declaration. I partnered with two creative collaborators to co-write the voiceover script for “We Are HUES!” — a poetic, spoken-word-style anthem that served as the centerpiece for the group’s launch video.
Blending rhythm, pride, and cultural nuance, the script was designed to affirm and celebrate the richness of Black identity — past, present, and future. The result was a moving narrative that anchored HUES’ debut in purpose, power, and pride.
