A celebration of Black women doing extraordinary work in unconventional spaces.

As a contributing producer for xoNecole’s Dope Chicks, Dope Jobs video series, I supported the development and execution of two featured episodes spotlighting women breaking barriers in their fields. The first followed celebrity stylist Ade Samuel, filmed on location at the homes of Yara Shahidi and Big Sean, exploring her journey from Teen Vogue intern to red carpet visionary. The second featured award-winning travel journalist Kellee Edwards, chronicling her path from bank teller to becoming one of the few Black women to host a travel show on a major network.

Across both episodes, my role spanned creative and logistical responsibilities—from crafting interview questions that would elicit powerful, brand-aligned soundbites to providing on-set production support and offering editorial feedback on final video output. I helped shape the narrative tone, coordinated shoot-day logistics, and ensured the storytelling remained intentional, authentic, and aligned with xoNecole’s editorial voice.
