Over seven years at Intuit Mailchimp, I led end-to-end video production across one of the company's most visible content channels, developing educational tutorials, YouTube Shorts, live-action productions, and large-scale webinars that educated millions of small business customers worldwide.

What started as scriptwriting evolved into full creative production leadership— from concepting and scripting through stakeholder alignment, talent coordination, shoot logistics, and final delivery.

By the end of FY25, the team surpassed 500,000 views, reaching 104.5% of goal during one of the most operationally challenging years in the company's history.

TUTORIALS, SHORTS & WEBINARS

The bulk of my production work lived in the educational space, translating dense product features into clear, engaging, brand-aligned content across formats. Each year, I led production of 40+ educational tutorials and YouTube Shorts covering everything from domain authentication and SMS A/B testing to popup form design and contact management. When Google and Yahoo announced new authentication requirements affecting most Mailchimp customers, I proactively pitched and produced YouTube Shorts as an agile response format, writing both scripts and managing delivery under an accelerated timeline. The videos outperformed typical Shorts in early metrics and became an internal model for responsive content production.

On the live programming side, I led production of 20+ webinars including Mailchimp's Marketing Success Season, coordinating hosts, external partners, and live production logistics across a series that drove 5,427 registrants and 1,118 live attendees.

 

SCRIPTING & VOICE CONTENT

Not every production required me on set. For product explainers, voiceover-driven tutorials, and scripted short-form content, I wrote scripts designed to sound human rather than instructional—clear, conversational, and brand-consistent across every surface.

 

WE ARE HUES

One of the most meaningful productions of my time at Mailchimp was the HUES launch video. When Mailchimp's Black employee resource group prepared to announce themselves to the company, the moment called for more than a standard internal communication. I partnered with two creative collaborators to co-write "We Are HUES"— a poetic, spoken-word style anthem designed to celebrate the richness of Black identity across past, present, and future. The result was a moving declaration of purpose, power, and pride that anchored HUES' debut and became one of the most personally significant pieces of work I produced during my time at the company.
